MArS Market Access & Pricing Strategy GmbH is a consulting firm specializing in global strategic solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, especially for the German-speaking D-A-CH markets. The company focuses on optimizing market access, pricing strategies, and reimbursement processes to ensure medical products' successful launch and commercial success. A key part of the client’s work involves helping stakeholders navigate the pharmaceutical sector's policy, regulatory, and market dynamics. MArS gathers and distills data from multiple sources to provide decision-makers with clear, actionable intelligence. To use the knowledge, MArS invented Market Access 4.0 – a set of AI based on the newest technology tools, to support digital transformation in Healthcare Market Access. 

Due to the sensitive nature of their operations, MArS required a secure, privacy-focused GenAI chat solution. HW.Tech assisted MArS by developing Healthmind+, a dedicated GenAI platform ensuring complete confidentiality of uploaded files and prompt-based inputs. All interactions stay confidential and are not available to any outside parties. 

Problem statement

Healthcare and pharmaceutical professionals often use AI tools for document analysis — but popular models like ChatGPT raise serious privacy concerns. These tools commonly retain user inputs and may be repurposed for future training, making them unsuitable for confidential healthcare applications. Using ChatGPT or similar tools exposes organizations to data leakage risks, regulatory breaches, and loss of intellectual property.

Healthmind AI was created to address this critical gap: the need for a secure, compliance-first AI assistant built specifically for handling sensitive medical content such as patient data, study reports, or proprietary regulatory documents—without ever compromising privacy.

  • Inherent data exposure. Tools like ChatGPT are not privacy-by-design. User prompts may be stored or used to improve the model.

A critical challenge was to develop an AI-powered assistant to ensure full data privacy while delivering advanced generative AI functionality. Existing AI models often store user inputs, making them unsuitable for processing confidential medical and pharmaceutical documents. Healthmind+ needed to integrate a secure AI model, prevent data usage by third-party providers, and maintain a user-friendly experience for healthcare professionals.

Healthmind+ operates on a privacy-first framework. When users interact with the product, the data remains within the local environment. Nothing is saved, stored, or transmitted to third-party servers. The architecture affirms sensitive healthcare information is private and secure to meet stringent data privacy standards.

To meet the requirement, experts at HW.Tech built the solution on Amazon Bedrock, a cloud-based infrastructure designed to process data securely.
